I have
never really been much of a science buff. I all but failed biology
in the 10th grade, and probably would have too, had I not been
befriended by the girl who sat next too me. Carolyn was not the
least bit squeamish about dissecting frogs and other formaldehyde-soaked
creatures, and so we became fast friends immediately, and for life.
My point here is that I have never been particularly gifted, nor inclined
toward the pursuit of scientific knowledge.
For some unknown reason, however, I am fascinated by, and able to grasp the complex workings of the female reproductive system and hormones in general. I've begun to think I'm some sort of a weird science savant, who can tell you about hormones and their functions, but feels faint at the sight of a test tube. I don't have any rational explanation for it. I launched my scientific quest because no one had any easy answers for me, and I had to find them on my own. My parents taught me to think for myself, so it was the most natural path for me to follow, in the end. All I know is that this information is too important to keep to myself. this book is like the "X Files" of menopause, uncovering the path to truth, justice, and an end to hot flashes. I want to share all of this gold, this wealth of information with you. I pass it on as my gift. My hope is that you will have the courage to listen to the body that has always served you so well, and follow it's lead, down the road back to balance. |
